Orange Scented French Toast

Yield: 4-6 servings

1 Baguette, sliced into 8 1" pieces
6 Eggs
1/2 c Milk
1/4 c Orange Juice
1 tsp This Little Goat Went to Belize Spice Mix
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp Butter
Powdered Sugar for dusting

Heat oven to lowest setting, place plate in oven to keep cooked toast warm. Combine all ingredients except bread, butter, and powdered sugar and whisk until well combined. Heat large, heavy bottom skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter until foaming subsides. Soak 4 slices of bread for 30 seconds per side, add to pan. Cook over medium low heat until first side is golden brown and custard is starting to set. Flip, and continue cooking until finished. Transfer finished toast to warmed plate and repeat with remaining slices of bread. To serve, transfer all French toast to platter and dust generously with powdered sugar. Pass softened butter and warm syrup if desired.
